At roughly 1800 server time on September 8th, a Southern Federation Avatar was hot-dropped by an NC. Titan fleet and destroyed by mass doomsday fire.

In what is almost a routine occurrence, STFU. Members accused NC. of using the “POS shield cyno exploit” to bump a titan that was largely inside the safety of a POS shield.

The “POS shield cyno exploit” has been a source of controversy, ranging from its legality to whether it was actually performed in the first place. The “exploit” works akin to the now removed “POS Bowling”: bumping ships out from POS shields by using the 7.5km radius of a Titan’s collision model to circumvent the 5km “no cyno zone” around a POS.
